DIA path selection based on SLA metrics
Hi community,
Can I use latency and/or packet loss measurements to select best path for DIA (Local Internet Breakout) traffic ?
How I can configure that ?

Hi fun4net,
Sure, VOS has a perfect solution for this: SaaS Application Monitoring.
You can find reference information here: Configure SaaS Application Monitoring - Versa Networks
There are 2 types of SaaS Application Monitoring: active and passive. Both have their pros and cons.
Passive SaaS Application Monitoring relies on real app traffic measurements, however it is applicable only for the specific list of SaaS apps, and it's reactive by its nature.
Active SaaS Application Monitoring is more universal, and can be used to monitor any arbitrary IP or FQDN, and it uses active probes, which can be of ICMP, TCP or HTTP type.
Both of them collect packet loss, delay and jitter data.
SaaS Application Monitors can be used in SD-WAN Forwarding Profiles for DIA next-hop selection.

Hello,
Active SaaS application monitoring collects performance metrics about an organization's or a tenant's WAN links and uses the metrics to help determine the best path to a SaaS application.
